Education: BS in Recreation and Tourism Studies; Master of Public Administration, both from Old Dominion University

Academic Path:  I’ve worked in higher education for 12 years at various universities – Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and the University at Denver, CO; I found my home here at UB in 2015. I started out in higher education as a program coordinator for students with intellectual disabilities, where I fell into graduate school. After grad school, I worked in admissions/recruitment and graduate advising. I currently love serving SEAS undergraduate students.  My ‘side projects’ are a hodgepodge of everything I like to do – liaise with Accessibility Resources & Veterans Services and work on at-risk and student success initiatives; I also dabble in flyers, video productions, email communications and basically anything else that might need doing! This spring I am teaching a new class on Academic Success Strategies; I look forward to expanding my advisor horizon!

Specialty Areas: MBA Combined Degree, Veterans

Hobbies: I’m a big reader (average between 30 and 60 books a year) and I love to craft – particularly around the Christmas holidays. I love Disney and Harry Potter. If you’re in my office, you’ll see a collection of tacky magnets; I haven’t been to all the places on my board, but I really enjoy getting magnets from people who have!
