Dean's Advisory Council

The SEAS Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) serves as a strategic advisory body to the dean, providing external perspectives, expertise, and counsel to advance the School’s mission and long-term success. The DAC advises the dean on emerging opportunities and challenges; long-term planning and strategic priorities; industry and community engagement; advancement and development; student preparation, success, and career readiness; research and innovation; and the development of new initiatives.

Drawing upon the diverse experience and expertise of its members, the DAC helps strengthen connections between SEAS and industry, alumni, and the broader community; identifies emerging workforce, technological, and societal trends; and supports initiatives that enhance the School’s impact, reputation, and ability to prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

To further advance the School’s strategic priorities, members participate in focused working groups established in consultation with the dean. These groups also work closely with other academic leaders in SEAS to on specific opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for consideration by the dean.
