Gina Lee-Glauser rejoined Clarkson University as chief research and scholarship officer.
Dr. Glauser had an overall responsibility for providing effective leadership to administrative research units serving the research enterprise at Clarkson University to foster multidisciplinary collaborations across campus as well as with industries and other universities, all while streamlining research administration services to reduce/remove administrative burden on researchers. She collaborates with the Shipley Center for Innovation in developing strategy for intellectual property management, commercialization and business plans for startups. Her office also administers the University's policies on research administration, research integrity, conflict of interest and intellectual property.
Lee-Glauser led faculty working sessions to develop strategic multidisciplinary research focus areas to strengthen and promote research and scholarship activities that will lead to stimulate and enhance the University's contribution to new knowledge and the national standing of Clarkson University’s research excellence. She collaborates with the Faculty Scholarship Awards & Recognition Committee to champion faculty development, mentoring and nomination for professional awards and recognitions of utmost preeminence to promote faculty’s impact of research and contributions.
Gina is a Korean immigrant raised in Staten Island. She received my B.S. and M.S. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from University at Buffalo, and a PhD in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from Clarkson University. She conducted her postdoctoral work at NASA Langley Research Center under the National Academies National Research Council Research Associate program. Gina retired from a Vice President for Research position at Syracuse University in December 2015.
