    A team in our very own sophomore living learning community is planning a project that will help a local organization celebrate and communicate their amazing impact on the Buffalo community. Kateryna (Kat) Semenova (computer science and cognitive science, left), Emmalee Sherman (intended nursing, middle) and Abby Grabowski (biomedical engineering, right) were all looking for ways to make a difference and gravitated towards Grassroots Gardens and its mission.

    Two aspiring computer engineers, sophomores Daniel Delannes-Molka and Shanelle Ileto, are taking advantage of campus resources to get ahead in their field. By building a laptop computer from scratch, the two have learned to problem-solve and connect with faculty outside the classroom, enriching their learning and building skills that will be invaluable in their careers.

    Kyle Hunt, an Industrial and Systems Engineering major, began to look for research opportunities when he was a sophomore. Using ELN's Project Portal, Kyle found an opportunity to work in Professor Jun Zhuang's Decision, Risk, and Data Lab on campus.
