An article on the website of the National Science Foundation reports a UB-led team has developed a computer security system using the dimensions of an individual’s heart as an identifier.

The story notes that the system uses low-level Doppler radar to measure the heart, and then continually monitors a person’s heart to make sure no one else has stepped in to run their computer.
