GradSWE at UB provides resources and events tailored to the needs of graduate students while supporting SWE's (Society of Women Engineers) vision for a world with gender parity and equity in engineering and technology. We are a group dedicated to the academic and professional excellence of Graduate Students at the University at Buffalo.
The Graduate Student at the University at Buffalo of the Society of Women Engineers organization (GradSWE at UB) stimulates graduate students to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders by expanding the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life and by demonstrating the value of diversity. We also serve to inform young women and the general public of the qualifications and achievements of women engineers and the opportunities that are open to them. GradSWE at UB serves as a center of information on women in engineering. We encourage women engineers to attain high levels of education and professional achievement. Our cultural purpose include being allies and role models for young women and aspiring students who are thinking about higher education in engineering or other technical field; through representation and recognition of achievements by fellow women engineers.
