Caseload: Pa-Pq, Athletes

Education: BS in Nutrition from St. Francis University, MS in Recreation and Sport Sciences from Ohio University, PhD student in Higher Education Administration at the University at Buffalo

Academic Path: I was a direct admit into the St. Francis University physical therapy program, and just prior to my senior year of college, I changed my major to nutrition; the PT curriculum of wound care did not sit well with my stomach.  In graduate school at Ohio University, I had an amazing graduate assistant experience and  decided that I wanted a career in Division I athletics.  After graduating, I was offered a job at UB and I worked for 13 years in the athletic department in various roles from assistant softball coach, to recruiting assistant in the football office, and finally athlete academic advising.  These roles and responsibilities allowed me to have a seamless transition into an academic advising position within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Most recently, I embarked on a journey to earn my PhD in Higher Education Administration.  It is both a rewarding and humbling experience to have the opportunity to be a student and professional staff member at UB.

Specialty Area: Advising SEAS Student Athletes

Hobbies and Interests: When I am not reading scholarly research in higher education, I spend time with my husband and two kiddos, volunteering at their school and our parish. I still have a huge interest in athletics and coaching, and I find ways to use that passion in other areas of my life.
