An article in Business First about Buffalo Automation Group, founded by two UB undergraduate students who won the $7,500 grand prize in this summer’s Buffalo Student Sandbox competition, reports the company has developed technology that can sense obstacles in the water and avoid them, which could lead to self-piloting boats. The article notes the company, which is already working with a major shipping company to see how much more efficient their technology can make ships, was recently accepted into the Start-Up NY program.
UB is actively monitoring developments related to COVID-19. Please check with event organizers for the most up-to-date information about scheduled events.
