Ron DeSantis ad uses AI-generated photos of Trump, Fauci

An AFP Fact Check story reporting that a new Ron DeSantis campaign video uses artificial-intelligence-generated fake images showing Donald Trump embracing Anthony Fauci quotes Siwei Lyu, SUNY Empire Innovation Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Lyu, who is also director of UB’s Media Forensic Lab, pointed out various discrepancies in the images used. “I am pretty sure these are not real photos,” he said.
