A newsletter from the Association of American Universities (AAU) mentions that UB President Satish K. Tripathi, professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, is a co-chair of a new AAU task force on expanding research and higher education partnerships between the United States and India.
Venu Govindaraju, SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and UB vice president for research and economic development, has also been named a member of the task force.
The task force was created in coordination with the Biden administration’s U.S.-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET). iCET seeks to grow technological and industrial collaboration between the two nations.
