How hard is it to cheat at a chess tournament? Experts weigh in amid Carlsen, Niemann scandal

Chess cheating expert Kenneth Regan, professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has been quoted by media worldwide regarding recent accusations made by Norwegian world champion Magnus Carlsen that upstart American Hans Niemann cheated in matches.

"Neither I nor the tournament staff found any indication of cheating in that game, or in any combination of other games by Niemann at the tournament," Regan told CTV News (Canada).
