He’s the bad boy of chess. But did he cheat?

The New York Times reports on American teenager Hans Niemann, who defeated the world’s best chess player, Magnus Carlsen, and has since been accused of cheating and quotes Kenneth Regan, professor of computer science and engineering.

Regan, who is one of the world’s foremost experts on cheating in chess, has not found evidence of cheating in Niemann’s over the board games. “Over the board allegations, completely unfair,” he said.
