Yahoo! News picked up a story from Business Insider that quoted Kenneth Regan, professor of computer science and engineering, for its story about world chess champion Magnus Carlsen’s accusation that 19-year-old Hans Niemann cheated against him during a match played in early September.
Carlsen questioned Niemann's development as a player and his attitude during the game, although to date there is no evidence supporting Carlsen’s claims. “Niemann played well,” said Regan, an expert on detecting unfair play. “But not too well.”
