University at Buffalo researchers creating app to track COVID-19

WGRZ, WKBW, Spectrum News and WHEC report on PocketCare+, a new app developed by UB computer scientists and engineers that will provide a technologically advanced form of contact tracing to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Originally developed to track the spread of the flu, the app was recently updated for use on COVID-19, says Chunming Qiao, project leader, SUNY Distinguished Professor and chair of computer science and engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
