A mother’s warning for parents about the TikTok app

In a WKBW-TV story about the TikTok app and its use by online predators despite its image as a child-friendly platform, Oliver Kennedy, associate professor of computer science and engineering, advised parents to be vigilant about what their children are downloading.

“Talk to your kids. Spend time with them. When they want to install something on their phone, talk to them,” he said.
