University at Buffalo researchers are developing a single shot for flu, COVID-19 and RSV.

UB spinout company POP Biotechnologies, co-founded by Jonathan Lovell, will receive nearly $10 million to advance a rapid-response vaccine platform. 

Funding will help Buffalo-based company advance a bird flu vaccine candidate and test its vaccine platform for future outbreak response.

First Word Pharma reported that UB spinout company POP Biotechnologies, co-founded by Jonathan Lovell, has received $9.7 million to continue development of its nanoparticle vaccine platform. 

The Albany Times-Union and The Buffalo News reported that New York has created a $10 million fund for brain research on SUNY campuses, including research at UB, led by Jonathan Lovell, to build an Alzheimer’s vaccine.
