A project led by John Crassidis to improve the navigation capabilities of a formation of spacecraft is among 25 of the most promising ideas selected as semifinalists in NASA’s iTech initiative. 


The CISTC Technical Recognition Award is given annually to recognize a IEEE Communications Society member who has made outstanding contributions to the technological advancement of security.


The award, given annually by the Structural Engineering Institute of ASCE, recognizes Whittaker's technical expertise in and dedication to the development of structural codes and standards.


The Graduate Teaching Award recognizes the UB engineer's excellence and creativity in teaching master's-level students.


Borazjani is one of over 800 U.S. citizens who will teach, conduct research, and/or provide expertise abroad for the 2017-18 academic year through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program.


Michel Bruneau, a professor in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, was honored along with his co-authors with the 2017 Moisseiff Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
