Türkiye launches project to protect the country against natural disasters

Michel Bruneau, SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, spoke to TRT World, the English language public broadcaster in Turkey, about the nation’s efforts to be better prepared for future earthquakes. 

“It is a multi-stakeholder endeavor,” Bruneau said. “It requires engineers, architects, social scientists, public policy experts, the government, politicians and the public to all agree on this common objective.”
