Bridge engineers develop the infrastructure that connects communities. They need to be prepared to develop bridges using new construction methods and components, improve the seismic resiliency of bridges and deal with the problems associated with aging infrastructure. Our bridge engineering options prepare students to take on leadership roles in enhancing bridges and infrastructure around the world.

Certificate information

Students enrolled with a bridge engineering concentration can often find opportunities with state departments of transportation and other state and federal infrstructure organizations or private industry.

Students earn the new certificate after completing a 12-credit hour, 4-class offering.
