Five students from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences are among the fifteen UB students to receive the 2018 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. The awards were presented by SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson at a ceremony April 10 in Albany.
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) awarded UB’s student chapter a Certificate of Commendation for its outstanding activities, a distinction earned by just the top 5% of all ASCE student organizations.
Philip Odonkor has always been intrigued by the idea of distilling complex thoughts into short, captivating narratives. When he heard about UB’s 3 Minute Thesis competition, this avid fan of TED talks jumped at the chance to participate.
