A team of UB students got the opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of a penetration tester, breaking into and exploiting different computer systems and software at the annual Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition international finals.
Students in associate professor Andreas Stavridis’ reinforced concrete design class had a chance to experience something most undergraduate students do not: seeing the beams they designed and built put to the test.
“I wanted to bring the club back because I wanted students to have more exposure to industry, beyond design engineering,” says civil engineering senior Mustafa Shakoor.
