SEAS Graduate Student Association (GSA) officers Matthias Schmid, Atif Afzal, Mark Tomaszewski and Pavan Behara took the lead in planning, coordinating and delivering the First Annual SEAS GSA Conference on Career Perspectives and Networking in April 2015.

SEAS Graduate Student Association (GSA) officers Matthias Schmid, Atif Afzal, Mark Tomaszewski and Pavan Behara took the lead in planning, coordinating and delivering the First Annual SEAS GSA Conference on Career Perspectives and Networking in April 2015.

The two-day event featured career-related workshops, panel sessions, talent fair and graduate poster competition.  Also featured were keynote addresses by John Scannell, Chairman and CEO, Moog, Inc., Christopher Scolese, Director, NASA Goddard, and Michael Constantinou, SUNY Distinguished Professor, CSEE) along with enthusiastic participation from the Dean’s Advisory Council and SEAS Departmental Advisory Boards.

This was truly a collaborative event with contributions from Career Services, Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement, International Student and Scholar Services, Special Events and the SEAS Dean’s Office.

All involved look forward to the Second Annual Conference in 2016 and encourage alumni and industry to join the effort!
