An automated satellite steering system designed by UB researcher Manoranjan Majji  has been selected by NASA to be part of Virgin Galactic's  SpaceShipTwo commercial research flight.

University at Buffalo researchers are part of an international team developing a novel imaging technique with nanoparticles suspended in liquid to provide an unparalleled, noninvasive, real-time view of the small intestine.

These questions and much more will be deliberated as roughly 2,000 engineers gather Aug. 17-20, in Buffalo, N.Y., to discuss advanced manufacturing and design.

Five faculty members representing the health sciences and engineering have been named University at Buffalo Distinguished Professors for 2014. The appointments are effective Sept. 1.

David Kofke was elected a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in recognition of his contributions to chemical engineering research.

From Buffalo, they will use game controllers, cameras and the Internet to guide the robot’s movements in Houston.
