Projects focus on cancer therapies, robotic clot removal catheters, and mRNA vaccines, among other technologies

UB continues to rank among the top public universities in the nation, according to the latest rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report.

UB comes in at No. 36 among 225 public colleges and universities, and is 76th among public and private universities.

Research team to develop new transistors based on 2D semiconductors and magnetoelectric materials.

Grant further strengthens UB’s national leadership in artificial intelligence research. 

Amanda Newbury has been selected for a 2024 Tau Beta Pi scholarship, based off of the competitive criteria of high scholarship, campus leadership, service and the promise of future contributions to the engineering profession. 

Batta has won the 2024 Koopman Prize from the Military and Security Society of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).

The new building will support students and programs in the rapidly growing School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

The building, which received $68 million from Gov. Kathy Hochul and state lawmakers, will meet the growing demand for STEM education at UB.
