Three of the eight UB faculty members to be named recipients of the 2017 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence are part of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Seamus Lombardo, an undergraduate aerospace engineering major, earned third place in the Student Competition at the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) Symposium on Small Satellites, held in Berlin, Germany.
Shuai Shao, a PhD student in biomedical engineering, received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Student Abroad. This prestigious international honor recognizes Shao's impressive scholarly achievements as a doctoral student.
