A story on WFMZ-TV in Pennsylvania interviews Liesl Folks, dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, about her efforts to encourage women to get involved in the STEM fields.

“You need about 30 percent of any minority group before it feels to them like they belong so we were well below that number and I didn’t feel like I belonged.” said Folks, who was one of only four women enrolled in a physics program in her native Australia.
