UB mechanical engineering alum David Blekhman has been selected as a Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Alternative Energy Technology, one of the most prestigious appointments in the Fulbright Scholar Program.
About 100 students gathered on campus this spring to take part in the 2019 Blockchain Buildathon—an annual event that brings together local businesses and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences students to develop a solution to a problem, or use case, utilizing blockchain technology.
Anne-Fleur Andrle (MS Biomedical engineering ’13) had a problem: for years, she traveled extensively for her job as a medical applications engineer in medical imaging, finding herself with a well-stamped passport but little to show for it besides jet lag and a thorough reading of her hotel’s room service menu.
Jonathan Watts, vice president at Watts Architecture & Engineering, came to the University at Buffalo as a transfer student in 1996. He left his previous college because he felt that UB offered a more comprehensive engineering education, and went on to earn his BS in industrial engineering in 2000 and a BS in civil engineering in 2003.
