Environmental pathogen persistence and disinfection; Environmental surveillance of pathogens; Environmental exposure and human diseases
Ye’s research group focuses on mitigating burdens of infections caused by microbial pathogens survived in natural and engineered environment. Specifically, the research group is applying biomolecular methods, cell models, and omics techniques to characterize the fate and functions of microbes and assess their health risks. The ultimate goal is to safeguard the communities with advanced tools of monitoring, forecasting, and mitigating microbial risks in the engineered systems
