UB’s commitment to undergraduate research and creative activities sets the stage for a nine-day university-wide showcase of its inaugural “Discovery Week.”
Faculty members and guests celebrated the more than 95 UB authors and editors who produced in excess of 90 volumes over the past two years as part of a ceremony held Thursday.
Several UB graduate and professional degree programs have been cited as among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking of “America’s Best Graduate Schools."
“We’re looking for top talent, so we don’t rely on job postings; instead, we partner with universities such as UB to find that top talent,” said Patricia Hein of U&S Services.
The funds come from SUNY’s Empire Innovation Program, which helps campus efforts to recruit faculty with proven track records of externally-funded research.
