Executive, Exxon and ExxonMobil (Retired)
Jim Wehrfritz is a retired 35-year Exxon and ExxonMobil executive with broad management and professional experience.
Over the course of his career, Wehrfritz has held more than 20 management and professional positions with Exxon, where he developed special expertise in interdisciplinary domestic and overseas leadership and teambuilding with corporate staff, contractors and government representatives. He was responsible for all aspects of project development and execution planning.
As a member of Exxon and ExxonMobil, and later as a consultant, Wehrfritz has worked across the US and 25 foreign countries on five continents. Most recently, he managed the engineering of the following large projects: Transporting Arabian Gulf seawater for waterflood of Iraqi oilfields; transporting regasified liquified natural gas to the northeastern United States; transporting gas from far eastern Russia to China; and to pipeline and tanker transport oil from far eastern Russia to world markets.
Wehrfritz joined the Dean’s Advisory Council in 2022.
