Faculty Honors and Awards

The award recognizes Jun Zhuang's outstanding leadership and service to the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. 

Deborah Chung and Venu Govindaraju will receive the UB President’s Medal, recognizing extraordinary service to the university.

Jinjun Xiong, SUNY Empire Innovation Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has been elevated to fellow in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. 

Nouh is recognized for distinguished research contributions to the mechanical engineering field as well as over a decade of dedicated service to the society.

Botta is the recipient of the President Emeritus and Mrs. Meyerson Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching and Mentoring.

The annual award recognizes a teacher, author or mentor who has made extensive and ongoing contributions to educating the next generation of risk scientists.
