The Acoustical Society of America award recognizes undergraduate students who have demonstrated excellence in acoustic research.

Students placed near the top of an international competition meant to inspire an artificial intelligence revolution in life-saving defibrillators. 

PhD student Nicholas Cucciniello received an Office of Science Graduate Student Research award from the DOE, which will enable him to pursue part of his graduate studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

A paper authored by researchers from the University at Buffalo and the U.S. Air Force received the Best Paper Award in Mechanics and Materials Systems from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems division.

The Institute of International Education ranked UB No. 25 in its latest census, “The Open Doors 2022 Report on International Educational Exchange. UB ranked No. 27 on the list the previous two years.

The SUNY Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program at UB is among a group of institutions who received a five-year, $2.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation to continue recruitment and retention of underrepresented minority students in STEM disciplines.
