WAMC-FM mentioned Empire AI in a report on how college students are utilizing AI to tackle societal problems. 

Over the summer, undergraduate students will be investigating extreme weather events in Western New York through UB’s Center for Geological and Climate Hazards.

StateScoop reported on Gov. Kathy Hochul’s announcement that Empire AI received $90 million in new funding from the governor’s fiscal year 2026 budget, along with $25 million from SUNY and $50 million in matching funds from other members.
