Each school will have different Academic Experiences planned. The university's Open House begins at 9:00 A.M. in the Student Union Lobby (check-in starts at 8:15 A.M.)
To attend the events below, please register for Open House and select a SEAS major under your academic interests.
Dr. Kemper Lewis, Dean, and Dr. Jeffrey Errington, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, will welcome you and give a glimpse of what life is like in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Following the welcome presentation, guests will be escorted to the department talks and tours.

The Department of Materials Design and Innovation (MDI) is a forward-leaning, interdisciplinary initiative that will address regional and national demand for new materials that accelerate research and education in advanced manufacturing and biotechnology.
MAE is one of the broader engineering disciplines. Mechanical engineers are involved in research and development, design and manufacturing. Aerospace engineering includes the traditional aeronautics and astronautics applications, as well as aerospace-related component development and vehicle and propulsion system design.
