Renewable Energy: Fundamentals and Job Opportunities assists learners in developing a foundational understanding of clean energy and its market segments.
This course introduces clean energy career opportunities and educational tracks from the State University of New York (SUNY) system, and explores the complexities and nuances of different renewable energy solutions. Topics include: tenets of green building design and construction, solar energy conversion through photovoltaic cells, wind turbine site selection and design, and nanotechnology applications in clean energy.
Renewable Energy: Fundamentals and Job Opportunities was created by the UB Center for Industrial Effectiveness in collaboration with Alfred State College of Technology, Buffalo State College, SUNY Canton, SUNY Erie, Farmingdale State College and SUNY Polytechnic Institute, as well as industry partners Direct Gain Consulting, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, ETM Solar Works, General Electric, the New York State Cleantech Venture Exchange, and Wendel.
