Undergraduate Labs and Facilities

Two students sit in the front of a mustang in a driving simulator. The ring around them features a landscape of trees near a roadway.

Undergraduate students have the opportunity to witness firsthand, and in some cases, conduct research themselves.

UB CSEE students have access to several labs and research facilities throughout the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). Multidisciplinary teams collaborate at UB, and students have an opportunity to experience labs in several engineering departments

CSEE Labs

  • Materials and Mechanics Laboratory
    11/5/19
The CSEE Materials and Mechanics Laboratory provides space for civil engineering students to develop an understanding of the strength and durability of different materials.
  • Hydraulics Laboratory
    11/5/19
The CSEE hydraulics and environmental engineering lab is located in a shared space in 120 Jarvis Hall. All CSEE students will participate in at least one lab in this space, and this is one of the several spaces that is both a teaching and research lab.
  • CSEE Computing Labs
    3/2/26
The CSEE computing lab space provides all of our students with an area to complete academic work. Each of the CSEE computer labs receive hardware updates once every three years, so we may equip our students with the most up-to-date PCs.
  • Environmental Engineering Laboratory
    12/29/22
The CSEE hydraulics and environmental engineering lab is located in a shared space in 120 Jarvis Hall. All CSEE students will participate in at least one lab in this space, and this is one of the several spaces that is both a teaching and research lab.
