Falls scholarship winner loves math, science

An article in the Niagara Gazette  profiles Jessica Evans, an aerospace engineering senior, who received a scholarship from the American Association of University Women.

The 21-year-old Niagara Falls resident was the recent recipient of the $5,000 Jackie Walker Scholarship from the Buffalo Niagara chapter of the American Association of University Women. The award is given to a college junior or senior woman who exemplifies the spirit of community service.

“Her academic record, personal statement and essay about public service were outstanding,” said Marianne Crapol, a spokesperson for the women’s group.
