Dr. Winnicka Ludwig’s research interests include twentieth and twenty-first century speculative and science fiction, intersections of literature with science and technology, ecocriticism, and urban theory. Her dissertation, “Imagined Cityscapes: New Perspectives on Future Urbanization in Contemporary Speculative Fiction,” is an interdisciplinary exploration of imagined future cities in a diverse selection of post-2000 texts. Recent research focuses on reclaiming of Indigenous voices in apocalyptic futures of contemporary Native American literatures.
