Series B highlighted five new startups launched through UB’s Cultivator program, including ‍RecycleVisionAI, which uses AI to improve plastic sorting accuracy. 

Karthik Dantu, CSE PhD student Vaishali Maheshkarand and CSE postdoctoral associate Charuvahan Adhivarahan earned second place for their company, RecycleVision AI. 

University at Buffalo researchers aim to provide regulators and others a quick and reliable way to assess sustainability claims.

UB researchers have developed a new device and method that can measure the amount of recyclable materials in plastic.  

Projects include creating new uses for discarded tires, and establishing a testbed for advanced sorting technologies.

Open to the public, the day will include demos of humanoid and dog robots, driverless cars, drones and more.

Moog, Inc., a global design, manufacturer and integrator of precision control components and systems, and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences corporate partner, will provide $750,000 to support research in the University at Buffalo’s CEAR.
