SEAS and UB are committed to providing all students with the resources necessary to be healthy and successful. Emergency, medical, wellness, counseling, and accessibility services are available.

The UB Employee Assistance Program provides resources and support for faculty and staff that help improve well-being, manage stress, strengthen workplace relationships, resolve conflict, overcome challenges, and manage traumatic situations.

Community Resources

  • Buffalo Urban League - Since 1927, the Buffalo Urban League has been a leading voice on critical issues affecting disadvantaged individuals and families throughout our community.
  • Embrace Western New York - Embrace Western New York is a local, non-profit organization comprised of gay and straight members of the Western New York community. Embrace Western New York is dedicated to equality and fairness within Western New York and seeks to raise awareness, understanding and acceptance of the LGBT community amongst all citizens.
  • Erie County, NY Office for People with Disabilities (ECOPD) - The ECOPD serves as a clearinghouse for information on programs and services made available to citizens with disabilities by Erie County and through affiliated agencies. The ECOPD also advocates for inclusion and positive change on behalf of the disabled community.
  • Gay and Lesbian Youth Services of Western New York (GLYS) - GLYS offers a variety of opportunities and services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and their friends, ages 14-21.
  • Greater Buffalo Racial Equity Roundtable - The Racial Equity Roundtable includes more than 30 community leaders from public, private, nonprofits and faith institutions convened to advance racial equity and promote the change required to accelerate a shared regional prosperity.
  • Hispanics United of Buffalo - To offer personalized integrated care programs that build strong and healthy individuals and neighborhoods. We partner with our communities to pave a path to wellness for all.
  • Hispanic Women’s League of Buffalo - The mission of the Hispanic Women's League is to improve the quality of life, assist in the personal and professional development, and advocate for the concerns of the Hispanic woman.
  • NAACP Buffalo Branch - The purpose of the Buffalo Branch of the NAACP shall be to improve the political, educational, social and economic status of minority groups; to eliminate racial prejudice; to keep the public aware of the adverse effects of racial discrimination.
  • Niagara Frontier Transit Authority (NFTA) - Metro's Paratransit Access Line (PAL) Service - The Paratransit Access Line is a shared ride service that provides origin-to-destination transportation for paratransit eligible individuals under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Paratransit Access Line makes provisions to ensure that each passenger gets from his/her point of origin to his/her point of destination.
  • Pride Center of Western New York, Inc. (PCWNY) - Pride Center of Western New York, Inc. (PCWNY) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. The mission of the Pride Center is to work with the community to make Western New York a safe, healthy, and satisfying place for LGBTQ people to live, work, and establish their families.
  • The New York State Commission for the Blind (NYSCB) - enhances employability to maximize independence and to assist in the development of the capabilities and strengths of people who are legally blind.
  • Visually Impaired Advancement (VIA) - VIA is a nonprofit rehabilitation and social services agency committed to people who are experiencing vision loss. 
  • Western New York Independent Living Inc. - A family of agencies that provides a full range of assistance, programs and services to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with disabilities.
