Students must be a matriculated degree seeking registered student in the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences and in good academic standing with an overall UB grade point average of 3.00.
In order to receive credit for each workshop, you must attend in-person or online (maximum of 3 online training hours). Students will be required to sign in at each in-person session to verify their attendance. Online module participation will be tracked and validated through login and authentication.
Students are responsible for tracking their accrued professional development training hours, however, hours will be verified/validated at the time of completion. Please use the SEAS 360° Tracking Form to log attendance at professional development events.
Both online and in-person opportunities will be made available throughout the year in order to provide flexibility. New workshops will be announced throughout the year via email to students who have opted in to SEAS 360°.
Students are encouraged to choose specific workshops that best align with their individual needs and goals.
Graduate student attendees of the annual Career Perspectives and Networking Conference (CPNC) are eligible to receive training hours towards their SEAS 360° Certificate of Professional Development. The CPNC provides students with an opportunity to network with industry leaders.
Along the lines of professionalism, students SHOULD NOT register for sessions if they do not intend on being able to show up at SEAS 360° events. Students who register for sessions, do not show and do not notify firstname.lastname@example.org prior notification, will be dropped from the program.
