Weidong An

Weidong An joined FMC Tonawanda site in 1998 and currently works as the site Technology Manager, supervising the Technical Department and Quality Control Lab. His team provides technical leadership for the site on developing and implementing new technologies and technical initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, cost, and productivity related to persulfates and peracetic acid manufacturing, as well as ensuring a safe and optimized manufacturing operation. Weidong received Bachelor and Master degrees from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and a PhD from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, all in Chemical Engineering. Weidong is Six Sigma Green Belt certified and is an active member of the Electrochemical Society (ECS) and American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
