Mr. Ameis graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994. Mr. Ameis worked at Occidental Chemical in Niagara Falls for 8 years in technical and process/production management roles. Mr. Ameis joined VanDeMark in 2001 as the Operations Manager of the Lockport facility and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2003 and Chief Operating Officer in 2005. Mr. Ameis’s most recent role is General Manager for the Lockport VanDeMark facility supporting Lockport’s operations and the integration of the newly acquired Framochem business. In his current role, Mr. Ameis is responsible for the leadership of plant operations, material planning requirements, plant engineering, research and development, and process engineering. During his tenure at VanDeMark, Mr. Ameis has played an instrumental role in the development of many of the Company’s proprietary processes and products, as well as the Company’s continuous improvement initiatives throughout its manufacturing operations. Prior to joining VanDeMark, Mr. Ameis gained meaningful manufacturing, and management experience at Occidental Chemical Corporation. Mr. Ameis has been serving as an adjunct professor for the Chemical Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo for the senior design class.
