Dr. Donald P. Visco, Jr. is Dean of the College of Engineering and a Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The University of Akron.  He has co-authored 50 archival journal publications, four book chapters, three patent applications and an undergraduate text book on thermodynamics.  He has won numerous awards for his teaching, research and service to his discipline at the local, regional and national levels.  He has been the principal or co-principal investigator on nearly $8M in competitive grant funding across nearly 20 projects.  Dr. Visco is a Fellow of the American Society for Engineering Education and serves as the Associate Editor for the journal Chemical Engineering Education.  His current research interests include molecular design for the pharmaceutical and concrete industry.
