Aerospace America quoted John Crassidis in an article about how a nuclear detonation would impact space debris, with Crassidis noting, “It might cause Kessler Syndrome to become a reality right away, where the chance of colliding with that debris is so big that it’s not worth putting satellites in low-Earth orbit anymore.”
