Sci-fi inspired tractor beams are real, and could solve a major space junk problem

John Crassidis was quoted in both Space.com and Dubai Tech in stories that discussed electrostatic tractors, a technology that was once thought to be only science fiction. Crassidis said the technology is still in the infancy stage, but noted this research is a good alternative to removing trash in space.
