An article in International Business Times about the dangers that debris from a destroyed Indian satellite poses to the International Space Station interviews John Crassidis, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering in the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

As rocket launches continue and more debris is created, it would become too risky to launch new satellites, he said, adding that if nothing is done soon, the probability of a collision in space is much closer.
