Sabrina Casucci is co-PI on a new $1.5 million grant awarded to the UB School of Nursing by the Health Resources and Services Administration to increase access to mental health and substance abuse treatment in rural Western New York. Spectrum News and Buffalo Business First published the announcement.

The program is led by Yu-Ping Chang, Patricia H. and Richard E. Garman Endowed Professor and associate dean for research and scholarship in the School of Nursing. “If you have those services integrated into primary care, you take care of the whole person instead of, ‘I’m going to take care of your physical health here, for your mental health go somewhere else,’” said Chang.

Casucci is an assistant professor of teaching in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
