As a UB ISE student, you have the ability to utilize a variety of advising services.

Advisors from the SEAS Undergraduate Education Team in the Office of Academic Affairs are available for First Year and Sophomore students as well as first semester transfer students. They also assist with areas such as:

  • UB Curriculum
  • SEAS-wide policies (i.e., Academic Review, Admissions)
  • University-wide policies (i.e., TAP, Leave of Absence)

ISE Department Advising

The Undergraduate Coordinator assists with:

  • ISE course registration issues (see below)
  • ISE-specific policies (i.e., Tech Electives)

Our department also offers faculty advising for junior and senior ISE students. The Industrial and Systems Engineering Faculty Advisement Program provides undergraduate students at the second semester sophomore level and higher an opportunity to meet with a faculty member once each semester to discuss progress towards the degree, satisfy milestone requirements, and discuss career development.
