CSE Refresh

We are ready to start gathering and printing posters for the department. As part of a gift to refresh the department, we will see the

• new signage and images in the conference room,
• new touch screen kiosk that is currently being demoed by the Kitching
• new rear projection on the server room windows, and
• a series of 15 poster frames around the halls of the third floor of Davis.

The goal for the poster frames is to fill them as they are installed with recent, cutting-edge research by our faculty and students, and then to have additional posters to swap out periodically.

To this end, I have attached a template based on the University Guidelines that should be used. Please be very careful not to change the fonts or font sizes, the color scheme, or the general layout, including the dividers, or basic ratios of images and figures. We know that this will take some extra work (probably on your student's part) but we think it will be worth it in the end.

We will find a way to incorporate a “badge” in the upper right corner for any papers that have received awards of any kind.

Priority will be given to:

• Award-winning papers
• Recent work in major conferences
• Projects that are highly impactive or funded
• Student projects that win department and SEAS awards
• Test of Time Topics
